Recruiting
PDS provides a unique recruiting concept offered by the Vista HRMS Recruiting application. This application enables you to view unsolicited external applicant data captured via your corporate website, copy external applicants' data to the internal Vista HRMS database, compare the data with other internal applicants, then analyze both sets of data to determine the best qualified candidates.
How it works
You provide a link on your corporate website to a separate external database, enabling applicants to view open positions and jobs, along with descriptions and qualification requirements. Interested candidates logon to your site, upload resumes, enter applicant information, and identify their interest in open positions/jobs. Ideally, the external database will be located outside of the corporate firewall allowing applicants to apply over the web.
The key technology in the Recruiting application is the ability to communicate between two databases on two different servers. When applicants are entering their information, they are accessing a stand-alone database with a small subset of Vista HRMS tables. You simply reach into the pool of external applicants and move those that meet the qualifications of the job to the internal applicants' pool. The result is a comprehensive pool of qualified applicants for which you can define search criteria, enabling you to present your best candidates to the hiring managers.
Personalizing your pages
With built-in HTML pages, you can easily modify blocks of text to include any content you wish. You can also control the look and feel of the application through a cascading style sheet (CSS).
