Reports To: Manager of Technical Support and Quality Assurance

Location: Blue Bell, PA

PDS is seeking a Technical Support Representative with HR, Payroll, and Benefits experience. We are looking for enthusiastic, professional individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment, are self-motivated and show leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers to research, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
• Manage incoming support logs and maintain focus on resolving customer cases quickly and effectively.
• Clearly document communications to customers using our support logging system.
• Test customer problems and log issues to development, working with developers to determine a solution.
• Replicate and verify customer problems and log issues to development.
• Collaborate with Development, QA and other Technical Analysts to research, identify and validate issue resolutions
• Effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required.
• This role is not an IT function, but rather a Development role.

• College degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Strong programming skills (preferably in at least two languages)
• Experience with ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, JavaScript, VBScript, XML and/or IIS
• Relational Database Experience (preferably SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Strong troubleshooting and customer relations skills
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• HRMS Experience a plus

PDS is seeking an enthusiastic, fast-learning programmer to join our product development team. This person will immediately jump into a variety of development projects using an array of languages. As such, you will quickly learn and gain expertise in multiple technologies as well as multiple components of the company’s software systems. Code bases include Visual Basic.NET, Visual C++, C-Sharp, ASP.NET, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Oracle.

Responsibilities:

• Write component software modules based on delivered specifications.
• Learn existing software modules to assist in developing enhancements and/or fixes.
• Assist technical support staff in finding and fixing reported issues.
• Write technical documentation for code that you have written.
• Participate in design sessions to design new components.

Qualifications:

• College degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Knowledge of C-Sharp programming language and/or VB.Net
• Knowledge of C++ advantageous
• Knowledge of basic SQL (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Knowledge of Transact-SQL (SQL Server) and/or PL/SQL (Oracle) advantageous
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects
• Communications and team-related skills
